The Chef
Jean-Baptiste Piard : Fare for sharing inspired by his extensive travel.
From Touraine (where he comes from) to Saint Barthélémy, by way of Canada and French Polynesia, Jean-Baptiste Piard is a passionate chef with finely honed talent and creativity.
After cutting his teeth at L’Auberge du Bon Laboureur in Chenonceaux (recipient of a Michelin star), Jean Baptiste Piard headed for Tahiti to become sous-chef at Le Coco’s, one of the best restaurants in French Polynesia.
He followed this up with a noteworthy stint at l’Hôtel Intercontinental Tahiti where he won the prestigious title of Best Chef in Polynesia in 2013.
Chef Piard continued to navigate his own course according to his culinary desires, which brought him to St Barth, where he fulfilled the role of Chief Executive at l’Hôtel Christopher, never losing sight of his dream: to open his own restaurant.
Today, he is at the helm of Zion’s restaurant where he strives to provide you with the experience of a refined, warm and friendly bistro cuisine shaped by his outlandish inspirations, encounters and flavours.
